OptoNews: Integrate your BACnet system with SNAP PAC

BACnet logoIf your building automation system uses BACnet—and many do—you can integrate it with your SNAP PAC System using our free BACnet Integration Kit for PAC Project.

We've just updated this integration kit to include:

  • Testing and troubleshooting help with test mode logic in the strategy and a test mode PAC Display project
  • A VAV controller polling example strategy that polls from 1 to 45 VAV (variable air volume) controllers. This example strategy used to be a separate download and is now included in the kit.

For integration you'll need a SNAP-PAC-S1 or SNAP-PAC-S2 controller to communicate with a BACnet MS/TP network via RS-485. BACnet is a communications protocol, and MS/TP is a Master-Slave/Token-Passing specification of BACnet.

Learn more in the BACnet MS/TP Integration Kit Guide, form 1907.
