Learn step-by-step how to build your browser-based operator interface and securely access it with any mobile device or from a remote location.
Do you need secure, mobile access to a process?
Maybe you want to see live video, confirm alarms, or verify what happened during an event. Or you just want your team to monitor a process without being tied to a control room. Now you can learn an easy way to create your HMI—for free.
groov View is an easy-to-learn, web-based HMI that’s included with every groov EPIC processor or is available for your Windows server (groov Server for Windows). Now there's a new, free online course all about groov View at OptoU!
Start the online training and add monitoring and mobile flexibility to your control application.
What can you see in groov View? Data from PAC Control, CODESYS, Node-RED, MQTT, Ignition Edge, Modbus TCP, OPC UA servers, and the Opto Memory Map (OptoMMP) for direct access to I/O.
Starting with your first blank page in groov View, each lesson helps you build a two-page user interface, working through most of the features available.
A groov EPIC Learning Center is ideal to use with the course, but not required. Use the free groov EPIC Learning Center Package for a completed PAC Control strategy to get started with connecting tags to gadgets.
What else will you learn in the groov View training?
- Connecting to your data sources (tags)
- Controlling who has access to your HMI
- Viewing your HMI on your Apple or Android device
- Adding a video gadget
- Adding trends
- Setting up events and notifications
How do you get started?
Use your MyOpto account credentials (or create a free account) and use the same login over on OptoU. Click the groov EPIC tile, and then click groov View User Interface.
Now start creating your own groov View user interface, and add mobile flexibility to your application!
