Founded and staffed by a group of engineers who spent a greater part of their lives working for two industrial automation corporate giants, Mayfield Scientific started in 2017 as an R & D venture to develop Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Originally focused on scientific applications for wildlife monitoring, asset tracking, and smart cities, the company evolved into the Industrial IoT (IIoT) space in 2024 as the obvious next step.
