Peter Santoro is a skilled Lead Controls Engineer at ALTA Refrigeration, with a decade of experience in the industrial refrigeration sector. A Georgia Tech Engineering graduate, Peter's experience ranges from managing projects and developing solutions to custom programming of refrigeration control systems. Peter has made significant contributions to ALTA's modular, freon-based EXPERT systems, demonstrating a strong commitment to advancing refrigeration technology.

Todd Hedenstrom has worked in industrial automation for over 40 years, including more than 35 years with his current employer, ALTA Refrigeration. His long experience with a wide range of automation platforms has helped to create ALTA's current industry-leading refrigeration solution.

The presentation will explore ALTA Refrigeration's transition from custom engineering services to a scalable industrial equipment manufacturer through the adoption of groov EPIC and MQTT technologies. It will highlight the challenges and solutions in developing the EXPERT series for efficient modular refrigeration control. Improved serviceability, scalability, and the innovative use of remote monitoring and data analytics enhanced customer support and operational efficiency.
