EPIC w/o I/O? Sure!

Posted by Janice Colmer on Apr 26, 2019 1:33:06 PM

The groov EPIC system now includes a chassis option for applications that don't need (or want) I/O.

GRV-EPIC-CHS0As we continue incorporating your feedback to improve and extend the groov EPIC system, we're pleased to announce the latest release of a new system chassis: GRV-EPIC-CHS0.

This new chassis option is ideal for applications where I/O is not needed or cabinet space is limited. With the GRV-EPIC-CHS0, you can place a groov EPIC processor and power supply in challenging, industrial environments where typical computers or networking equipment fail to operate reliably. The EPIC processor can provide the edge computing power and networking connectivity you need to modernize and extend your existing control systems, and more.

This standalone optional chassis for groov EPIC provides all the functionality you’d expect from our GRV-EPIC-PR1, including visualizing data with groov View, connecting to third-party PLCs and PACs like Allen-Bradley® or Siemens® with Ignition Edge®, using MQTT for publish/subscribe communications, and using Node-RED for edge data processing. Indeed, even the choice of control engines (PAC Control or CODESYS) is still available for automation and control with remote I/O.

For more product details, please review the GRV-EPIC-CHS0 product page or download the data sheet.

And thank you for your feedback that helps us make groov EPIC the ideal system for your applications and projects.
