In the last OptoNews, we showed you how an Excel® spreadsheet can exchange data with an Opto 22 SNAP PAC using the SNAP PAC controllers' RESTful API (application programming interface).
This time we'll show you how you can use the REST API with a Microsoft® Access® database.
The database can read data from or write data to the PAC's I/O points and variables.
As you can see with these two examples, the REST API makes it possible to use a variety of programming languages to access data in the PAC and securely share that data with software applications, devices, and online services.
Watch the new video and see how to exchange data with an Access database, using our free REST API to Access sample.
