As we continue to respond to changes resulting from the pandemic—changes mandated by government and changes we feel necessary to keep our employees safe—we have also retooled and streamlined customer service for you.

I’m happy to report that manufacturing is now at full capacity, and the shipping delays we experienced earlier are reduced. We are fortunate that our facility provides plenty of space for social distancing among our staff with excellent ventilation. Your orders can be safely filled and processed without delay.

Talk with a real person. Front desk switchboard operations have resumed! Call us at 800-321-OPTO (toll-free) or 951-695-3000 to speak directly to an Opto 22 representative. You can also contact us through our website. Or receive customer service in all these ways:

Live OptoChat on our website is monitored by Opto 22 engineers 16 hours per day, so you can quickly ask questions about products and get advice on your application.

  • To include others—colleagues, integrators, distributors, for example—just start a live chat and ask us to set up a meeting. We'll provide an invite link.
  • If you’re already in a virtual meeting with others, and an Opto-related question comes up, just paste your meeting URL into the OptoChat window. An Opto 22 engineer will join to answer questions or demonstrate products.

Free technical consulting and applications engineering. Our pre-sales engineering team and regional engineers are happy to help you with a conference call, application discussion, or virtual product demo.

  • Well equipped with professional broadcasting hardware, our engineers are available via Zoom, GoToMeeting, Slack, Skype, Webex, Google Hangouts, and other online communication tools.
  • And of course they have the latest products, including Opto 22 hardware and software, Ignition, Node-RED, CODESYS, and more.

Free online training at OptoU. Securely sign in and learn at your own pace. New courses are being added every week—including groov EPIC, PAC Control, CODESYS, Node-RED, Ignition Edge, and MQTT.

With OptoU, you have the convenience of on-demand training courses at any time that fits your schedule, and you can return to any course to finish or review.

OptoForums offer sample code, answers to your product questions, and advice on your application from an extremely knowledgeable group of Opto 22 users, 24 hours a day.

Opto 22 Developer Site. Since all our products are designed on open standards, you have a variety of ways to interact with them and integrate with other systems. The developer site gets you started with these programming and communication tools.

For Technical Support:

All of our engineers continue to work (most from home, others here at headquarters) on improving Opto 22 products and developing new features. We’re excited about some new I/O modules and additional capabilities that will be available later this year and in early 2021. Stay tuned for more information.

Thank you again for your continued understanding as we adjust and move ahead together. Stay healthy, and be safe.

Best regards,

Mark Engman
CEO/President, Opto 22
