Get class details and reserve your seat for one of the 2026 groov EPIC Premium Factory Training classes.
The first training class of 2026 just wrapped up at Opto 22 headquarters. It was a full class, which means word is getting out, and classroom PLC training is in demand!
Are you considering a system upgrade or just curious how groov EPIC compares to other systems you've used? Do you need help configuring and programming hardware and software for your industrial automation or IIoT application?
Then consider spending 4 days with us at Opto 22 headquarters learning all the programming options and features of groov EPIC, the Edge Programmable Industrial Controller.
January's group of students represented a variety of industries and provided some great feedback on their training experience. Take a look at what they said.

Students from the January class traveled across the country for their EPIC training, and 2 students even made the international trip from France.
Opto 22 instructors appreciated the great interactive engagement and the excellent questions and topics discussed. One common thread was that all of the students use PIDs in their control systems, and a few were from the same integration team. They even stayed after the training to receive additional help on their specific application.
So why else should you attend?
When you're not learning new technologies like MQTT, Node-RED, Ignition, or CODESYS, you'll also be treated to some great lunchtime meals, and you can even play a quick round of golf on the putting green during break time.
You'll also get a personal tour of Opto 22's factory and see how and where groov EPIC is built. During the tour, we grabbed these students to capture the January 2026 class photo. Congrats to these groov EPIC graduates!

Your four-day groov EPIC System Premium Factory Training includes:
- Hands-on instruction for the groov EPIC system (Edge Programmable Industrial Controller). Just as the acronym describes, you will learn how to collect, process, view, and exchange data at the edge, explore new programming options, and use industrially hardened equipment to control applications in real-time.
- System components and configuration, networking capabilities, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and communication methods that you can apply to your industrial automation application to build solutions for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)
- Breakfast snacks and a full lunch every day
- Opto 22 T-shirt
- Duffel bag packed with swag
Prerequisites: Students must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows; however, prior Opto 22 knowledge is not required.
