Technology Partnership helps Corso develop leading edge solutions for customers
In our latest OptoPartner video, Alex Marcy, President of Corso Systems, talks about how his company was remote before that was required. This made it easy to find the best talent, regardless of location, and gave his company the ability to help customers across the globe. Nine years later, this has allowed Corso to successfully complete integration projects in a wide range of industries including food and beverage, consumer goods manufacturing, oil and gas and mining among others.
One of the most interesting things to me in the video is how the release Ignition Edge® from Inductive Automation led them to Opto 22’s groov EPIC platform. With Corso’s extensive experience using Ignition, Evan Hewitt goes on to talk about applications, including a large steel manufacturer where the combination of Ignition and EPIC gave them many options and flexibility to help the customer. This is a great validation of the technology partnerships that are part of the Opto 22 ecosystem.
Scott Emond finishes up with a look toward the future, where Corso will focus on some new sectors. Their goal is to help customers integrate the shop floor with things like inventory management systems and end-to-end business software to harvest data for higher level analytics.
