Seasons Greetings from Opto 22 as we look back on the year 2021.
As we reflect on another year, we want to convey our deepest appreciation to all our customers, distributors, partners, and loyal Opto users. We are grateful for your support and commitment to Opto 22 products, and we promise to continue to innovate and provide cutting-edge solutions to you in 2022.
Let's take a moment for a quick year-in-review.
With Covid-19 restrictions still lingering, Opto 22 continues to be committed to its service model based on prompt technical consulting and product demos through virtual conferencing tools. However, we once again opened our lobby doors and welcomed visitors into Opto 22 headquarters. The OptoDemo Studios hosted several live demos as well as recorded webinars that you can now find on our website.
OptoU continues to be a valuable online training tool. Online registrations have increased and lessons on groov EPIC, Node-RED, and MQTT continue to be popular.
And have you visited the OptoForums lately? It's a great resource, whether you're new to Opto 22 products or have used them for decades. In case you missed it, Ben Orchard posted a recap last week of the Top 5 OptoForum posts of 2021.
We can't forget this was the year additional models of both groov EPIC and groov RIO were introduced:
- GRV-EPIC-PR2 has more memory and disk space—3.75 GB RAM and 22 GB user space—and it ships with Ignition version 8 pre-installed
- groov RIO MM2 model (GRV-R7-MM2001-10) also includes Ignition 8 and boasts increased memory and storage. (And it's in the running for a 2022 Engineers' Choice Award!)
The groov EPIC system also expanded with the announcement of two new I/O modules for power monitoring (GRV-IVAPM-3) and universal I/O (GRV-MM1001-10). Find more details about these latest I/O additions in this blog post.
Fourth quarter 2021 also announced important groov EPIC and groov RIO product updates. Make sure you've updated to the latest firmware version 3.3 for both. See what important new features are now included on both groov EPIC and groov RIO.
